Released in 2004 on the Beggars Banquet label, ‘Russian Doll’ is the second single taken from Dead Fly Buchowski’s debut album ‘Land of the Rough’ and is a take-no-prisoners power fuelled slab of perfect fuzz and psychedelic fused rock ‘n’ roll.
‘Russian Doll’ busts in with an audio riot of primal pounding drum beats, a thumping bass line and a guitar riff so electrifying it penetrates to the pit of your stomach. Then the growling vocal kicks in, over-flowing with conviction and passion. It’s a piece of perfectly frenzied riff ridden guitar rock.
