‘Note on the Door’ is the third single taken from the Llama Farmers 2001 ‘El Toppo’ album.

Llama Farmers were Bernie Simpson, Jennie Simpson. William Briggs and Brooke Rogers. They released seven singles and two albums for Beggars Banquet.

“Rarely has a band combined the jangly and the jagged with such aplomb” The Times

“El Toppo” is an invigorating rasp that’s clever and cute by the same degree……..and
radiates with crafted arrangements filled with gorgeous melodies and time changes” – Mojo

“As it twinkles and effervesces, soars, and dips, ‘El Toppo’ will spin you, lift you and turn you upside-down until you feel like you’re on top of the world.” – Rock Sound

‘Note On The Door’ is classic Llama Farmers, and another shot of guitar pop at it’s finest. ‘Note On The Door’ is one the most upbeat tracks on the album and proved a big hit amongst the pogoing crowds on their 26-date tour with the Crocketts. The track is built around a relentlessly catchy guitar riff and demonstrates immaculate use of Llama Farmer’s now characteristic stop-start dynamics.

All four b-sides manifest Llama Farmers melancholy side. Two new songs ‘Little Bugs’ and ‘7even Twists Clockwise’ sit alongside a version of album track ‘Postcards and Moonrock’ taken from a session with XFM and a stripped-back, hushed interpretation of the title track.
