The Fall and Rise of Edgar Bourchier and the Horrors of War is a concept album based around the work of a fictitious World War I poet, Edgar Bourchier. The album release coincided with the 100th anniversary of the Armistice last year, and is a timely reminder of the unsung heroes and futility of war – here coming to life 100 years of musical history as various artists tackle Edgar Bourchier’s work.
The album features collaborations from J.P. Shilo, a long time collaborator of Harvey’s and Jade Imagine, Simon Breed and Alain Johannes who join as guest vocalists.
