The record follows 2023’s ‘Toil and Trouble’ and marks his first since recovering from a serious undiagnosed illness that required him to relearn basic abilities including walking, talking, and playing music. Written, recorded, arranged, produced, and mixed by De Augustine at his home studio, ‘Angel in Plainclothes’ is a deeply personal reflection on fragility, perseverance, and the gift of second chances.
