Lyrics:

You’ve got me feeling like a killer now
With a gun held up to your head
Don’t you think you should apologise?
I remind you of the things you did

When I thought no one could replace you
With your arms out just like a dream
Now there’s something else i’m running to
Your love was just a smokescreen

When i’ve ever been wrong
I’ve never been so right
Cause i’ve ever been wrong
I’ve never been so right

Now that i’m looking out into the sun
with light to the face of it
I was never one to compromise
But you could never quite forget

When i’ve ever been wrong
I’ve never been so right
Cause i’ve ever been wrong
I’ve never been so right

I am confessing, I knew the second I left
I am confessing, I knew the second I left
I am confessing, I knew the second I left
I am confessing, I know

That I’ve never been wrong
I’ve never been so right
Cause i’ve ever been wrong
I’ve never been so right

When i’ve ever been wrong (I am confessing, I knew)
I’ve never been so right ( I am confessing, I know)
Cause i’ve ever been wrong (I am confessing I knew)
I’ve never been so right (I am confessing I know)
That I’ve never been wrong

Bio:

‘Never Been Wrong’ came together so naturally – it was pretty much finished in one session. In that way even the process of writing embodied the song’s narrative – that feeling of having an easy chemistry with the world around you; of moving through life with a calm belief that your decision-making will deliver you to a meaningful place. The song to reflect those moments in life where you look back on a period of time that once felt difficult, with a sense of satisfaction that you are watching from further up the hill.
